Browsing the catalog
After ingestion, your solution is a catalog: every object inventoried, every reference resolved, everything one click from everything it touches. This page is about getting around it.
List pages and detail pages
Each entity type in the Structure and Security groups has a list page (sortable, searchable, with counts) and each entry has a detail page. The detail page is where the cross-references live: what this object contains, what it references, and what references it back.
A few worth calling out:
- Scripts show their full step list, readable and copyable as text, with a step-by-step view and links to everything the steps touch. The call chain is one click away.
- Fields carry their full options: type, auto-enter behavior, validation, storage. The where-used trail answers "can I touch this?"
- Table Occurrences link into the relationship views.
- Layouts break down into their objects, with Layout Objects also browsable as a flat catalog when you want to hunt across every layout at once.
- Themes and Styles are first-class: useful for the "why does this look different" class of mystery.
- Accounts, Privilege Sets, and Extended Privileges give you the security model as navigable pages instead of a dialog maze.
The reference catalogs
The Catalog group is FileMaker reference material, not your file:
- Function Catalog and Script Step Catalog: every FileMaker function and script step as a page, so "what does this step actually do" has a stable answer next to your code.
- Error Catalog: every FileMaker error code, and something more useful: a per-client policy. Mark the codes your client treats as non-fatal (the expected 401 after a find, say) and every error analysis in FM Fathom respects that policy, from production error reports to schedule health.
Multi-file solutions
A client with several files shows each file's catalog separately (the sidebar is always scoped to one file), linked through External Data Sources and the client's solution map, so cross-file references resolve instead of dead-ending.
