Accounts and capabilities

Getting in

FM Fathom is invitation-only during the beta. An admin invites you by email (add fmfathom.com to your safe senders if the invite goes missing). There's no password to create: sign in through the provider shown on the sign-in page, with the exact email address your invite was sent to. A different address, even one that forwards to the right inbox, won't get in.

Capabilities

What you can do is granted per account by an admin, in four capabilities:

Alongside capabilities, an admin picks which clients you work on. Inside a client you can see, everything is open to you: browsing, the board, discussions, and AI connections don't need separate grants.

You'll sometimes see shorthand for common combinations: Full self-service (all four), Uploader (the two uploads), Viewer (none; browse and discuss only).

Whoever created a client can also pass capabilities on to its members, limited to capabilities they hold themselves, and never Create clients. So a lead can invite a teammate and let them upload, without an admin in the loop.

Reporting a bug

The bug button lives in the top bar on every page. Describe what you did, what you expected, and what happened; attach up to four screenshots if they help. The report automatically carries the page, client, file, and screen context it was filed from, so you don't have to.

One checkbox matters: consent for FM Fathom to look at the least of your solution needed to fix the bug. It's off by default, and leaving it off doesn't block the report. You'll get an email receipt, replies if we have questions, and a note when it's resolved.

Deleting your account

On Connect to AI, under API Keys, the Your account section has the delete control. Deleting removes your sign-in, your access to every client, and your keys. Anything you uploaded is kept so that, for example, a bug report you filed can still be investigated; ask us if you want uploads removed too. Details in Your data.
